Youth
Development
Through engagement with college MSAs CAIR-FL offers partnership and curriculum for students in need of guidance in the areas of activism, civic engagement, and civil rights.

Anti-Muslim
Hate
Islamophobia is a multi-million dollar industry in the United States with Florida serving as one of the top “hate” capitals of the US, with a record number of hate groups headquartered in the state.

Seeking Refugee
When refugees flee violence in their home countries for the safety and security of the U.S., their troubles do not end. Our immigration attorneys work tirelessly to assist these most vulnerable people in applying for asylum, and they guide our clients in every step in that process. Throughout the years, CAIR-Florida has processed dozens of asylum applications, and helped many refugees gain asylum.

Muslim Inmate
Advocacy
About 10% of incarcerated individuals in Florida are Muslim,
with many brothers and sisters finding Islam behind bars.
That’s over 7,000 vulnerable Muslims being denied the ability
to practice their faith and facing even more discrimination
while incarcerated. Our work allows Muslims the same rights
as Christian and Jewish inmates- the ability to practice their
faith without discrimination, no matter where they are.

PROGRAMS
CAIR-FL’s Programs department works tirelessly on behalf of Florida’s Muslim community daily to educate, protect, and advocate on their behalf. Our programs focus on civil rights legal work, policy work, and youth development to create a brighter future for our community.
Our civil rights legal work defends our community against discrimination through legal action and legal. In the face of crimes or discrimination, our community can count on CAIR-FL to have its back. Our advocacy and policy work at CAIR-FL helps change policies in the law, in our schools, at our hospitals, and more- to make sure every system around us is inclusive of and best serving Muslims. Policy work creates long term impact for our community and children to benefit from. A major gap in our community resources is a lack of youth development initiatives. The work that CAIR-FL ultimately does is to empower American Muslims in the state. A significant portion of that population is youth, in need of direct guidance and support on how they can be
