Ken Chitwood thanked CAIR – Florida’s Communications Director, Wilfredo A. Ruiz, for contributing and facilitating groundwork in the preparation for the awarded article: “Humbled, honored, to receive an Evangelical Press Association award for my writing with Sojourners on Islamophobia & Christian-Muslim relations. The EPA Higher Goals Student Writer of the Year award is just that type of inspiration, especially when it awards writing on Christian-Muslim relations. Thanks to Ruth Nasrullah, Wilfredo Amr Ruiz, Jon Huckins, Sandi Villarreal Middaugh, & especially my editor Betsy Shirley for their part in making this article a reality.”
