The “Amazing City” of Temple Terrace within the greater Tampa Bay area is known for its preservation of history, nature, and local government. We locals know Temple Terrace as home of the Bulls, Bush Gardens, several state parks, and a close-knit and diverse community.

While the national election determines the face of our nation, we can decide the fate of Temple Terrace by voting in the upcoming local elections on November 8th.

North Tampa and Temple Terrace residents will be asked to elect local representatives this upcoming November. Many candidates are running for Temple Terrace City Council positions and an open City of Tampa City Council seat, representing District 7, which includes New and North Tampa.

Your voice in local elections is your first stand in solidarity against discriminatory laws and unfavorable legislation passed in the state and national legislatures.

Whether you are a first time voter or a super-voter, local government is the easiest way for you to get involved in your community and impact the direction of its future.

You have two unique and important opportunities in the upcoming week to meet these local candidates.

On Sunday, September 25th between 4:30 PM and 7:00 PM, Emerge USA is hosting a community forum to give you an opportunity to meet the Tampa City Council and Temple Terrace City Council candidates. The event will be held at the Islamic Community of Tampa (5910 East 130th Ave, Tampa, Florida 33617). Find out more here.

On Tuesday. September 27th, the Greater Temple Terrace Chamber of Commerce will hold a forum where you can meet the Temple Terrace City Council candidates. This event will be held at the Temple Terrace Golf and Country Club (200 Inverness Ave, Temple Terrace, Florida 33617). Find out more here.
